Member Networking Meetings

Four times a year, we meet to discuss selected ESG topics at our quarterly members’ meetings. BLF members also exchange best practices during the annual meeting of executive directors and regional meetings held as needed. Since 2023, we have also organized informal networking events.

Specialised Seminars and Webinars

We organize specialised seminars and webinars several times a year on current ESG topics. In 2024, we held webinars on topics such as greenwashing and KPIs for an inclusive workplace. We also organized events and meetings on volunteering and employee engagement through our Companies to the Community working group, as well as a range of diversity and inclusion events as part of our Diversity Charter initiative.

Impact Summit

Building on more than 20 years of conferences on corporate responsibility, we launched a new chapter in 2024 under the Pontis Foundation. Impact Summit brings together leaders from the business, public, and civil sectors to address key societal challenges and collaborate on solutions.

ESG Recommendations

We want responsible business to become the norm in Slovakia. Every year, we publish practical recommendations for companies looking to strengthen their ESG performance. Our recommendations on specific ESG topics are available for free download.

Via Bona Slovakia

BLF is the long-standing main partner of Via Bona Slovakia, a unique Slovak award that has recognized outstanding examples of responsible business since 1998 and inspires other companies to follow. Winners in each category are selected by independent expert juries.

Diversity Charter

We are the national coordinator of the only initiative in Slovakia that brings together companies and organizations committed to promoting workplace diversity. We organize regular meetings as well as specialised and public events for the Charter’s signatories.

Companies to the Community

This working group (formerly known as Engage) brings together companies that want to develop effective employee volunteering programmes. Although it was established by BLF, it is now open to other companies as well.

The Fund for a Transparent Slovakia

The Fund for a Transparent Slovakia was established in 2012 on the initiative of seven BLF member companies. Its main goal is to improve transparency and promote a healthy business environment in Slovakia by supporting analytical and watchdog organizations.
